Unrivalled Flexibility
Flexible and suitable for a wide range of applications, you will get a superior performance with certifications, that meet any standard. No matter your industrial measurement requirements. Please read our Case Studies.
Laser Tracker opens door to new business areas
Entrepreneurial acting means setting the course for new business opportunities. In industrial companies, the success of such plans stands and falls with identifying the right equipment. That’s why Basque engineering company Ingemat added a Leica Absolute Tracker AT401 to their tools. läs mer
Leica T-Probe & T-Scan Combo Perfect Match for Body-in-White Inspection
The first thing you’d notice while walking up and down the seemingly endless corridors of DaimlerChrysler‘s sleek, ultra-modern Bremen plant is the almost complete absence of people. Hundreds of robots go about their work with surgical precision, bringing different sheet metal parts into place, welding them together, moving completed parts onto the next station and transporting finished products overhead to maximize space utilization. Viewed from afar, the ubiquitous robots seem to be dancing. The few factory workers you do see use “old school” bicycles to jet between different parts of the factory: hi-tech and low-tech harmoniously coexist here side by side. läs mer
DaimlerChrysler Dusseldorf saves time, improves accuracies
It keeps going and going and going—even if the immediate association with this slogan brings us to a different product, it applies to the Mercedes Sprinter just as well, it now in its eleventh year of production at the DaimlerChrysler AG Dusseldorf plant. The Sprinter success story is phenomenal: while most vehicles become obsolete toward the end of their production run and the number of produced vehicles slowly dwindles, the king of vans on the European market proves the opposite, writing its own success story. läs mer
Outsourcing Bottlenecks Eliminated With Portable CMM
As the ceiling of what is technologically possible gets pushed farther, deadlines get tighter and business partners increasingly set higher expectations on the parts delivered by subcontractors. In this cut-throat, make-it-or-break-it environment in which the question "When do you need it?" usually gets "Yesterday" as the answer, the room left for smaller companies is rapidly shrinking. Yet it is precisely this highly specialized marketplace in which SŽ Oprema from Ravne na Koroškem in Slovenia is thriving. läs mer
BMW Leipzig: Made to Measure
Thanks to the new Leica T-Probe, a “Walk-Around” armless and wireless mobile CMM, the use of Leica Geosystems laser trackers in the automotive industry is gaining more and more momentum. In the newly constructed BMW plant in Leipzig, Germany, this combination of a laser tracker and a Leica T-Probe convinces with its mobility, its measurement volume and its accuracy, especially in chassis building. läs mer
Laser Tracker Helps Opel Measure Up to the Future
Accurate, Highly-Mobile Laser Beam Measurements Improve Quality Assurance at Opel's International Technical Development Centre (ITEZ). The ITEZ is on the leading edge when it comes to industrial measurement technology – thanks to a new mobile laser tracker system, workers at Rüsselsheim, Germany can perform precise measurements of complete welding facilities, without moving the heavy-duty equipment an inch. läs mer
Raising functionality of laser tracking with Leica T-Probe
Vehicle manufacturers’ desire to adhere to the maxim of “get in right and get it right first time” has been further enabled with the latest laser tracker technology introduced by Leica Geosystems. läs mer
Laser trackers right at home in assembly line production
PICO EUROPE designs, manufactures, installs and commissions automotive production lines worldwide for many automotive manufacturers including Ford, Jaguar, Scania, Volvo and many others. PICO EUROPE has been using Leica Laser Trackers in assembly line production since 1996 and now has a total of five Leica Laser Tracker systems. läs mer
